How far is Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos from the SJD Airport?

The Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal is located about 47 kilometers, or 29 miles, from Los Cabos International Airport (SJD). The drive typically takes between 45 and 55 minutes, depending on traffic. If you’re arriving at Cabo San Lucas International Airport (CSL), which also serves JSX flights, the resort is much closer at roughly 12 kilometers, or 7.5 miles away, with a drive time of about 20 to 25 minutes. While SJD is the main gateway for international arrivals, CSL offers a faster and more convenient option for those flying private or on JSX.

The drive to the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal takes you through the Baja desert before reaching the private cliffside entrance to the resort. For return trips, it is recommended that guests leave the resort at least three hours before their scheduled flight to allow for travel time and airport check-in.

The closest beach suitable for swimming is “Medano Beach,” a mere 5-minute taxi ride from the resort. As for the hotel’s beach, we recommend not swimming there due to potent currents. However, a brief journey will take you to a beach where you can enjoy snorkeling in what’s often referred to as the world’s aquarium!
