Pedregal is entered through a guarded gate, and its roads climb the hillside in steep, winding cobblestone switchbacks. Our drivers know the community’s North gate and the route up to Portofino, so you’re taken straight to the door instead of left at the entrance to haul luggage uphill — have your unit details handy for security. Because the condos are fully self-catering with equipped kitchens, ask us to add a quick grocery stop at Walmart, Chedraui, or La Comer on the way in so the kitchen is stocked when you arrive.
Your Beach vs. Where You’ll Actually Swim
Guests enjoy access to Pedregal’s own Pacific-side beach — a wide, dramatic stretch famous for sunsets. Keep in mind the open Pacific here isn’t safe for swimming because of strong shore break and currents, so it’s best for walks and photos. For calm, swimmable water, sheltered Lover’s Beach beside the iconic El Arco and lively Médano Beach on the bay are both a short ride or water-taxi away, and we’re glad to run you there and back.
Walk to the Marina, Ride to Everything Else
Portofino sits about a ten-minute walk from the Cabo San Lucas marina, putting the harbor’s restaurants, shops, and nightlife within easy reach on foot. For everything beyond downtown — El Arco boat tours, snorkeling at Chileno or Santa María, whale watching in season, sport-fishing charters, ATV desert runs, and the Corridor’s championship golf — a pre-booked private transfer is the easy way to go, one-way or round-trip.
SJD to Portofino: What to Expect
Portofino is roughly 28 miles from Los Cabos International Airport (SJD), about a 40–50 minute drive via the toll road depending on traffic. We track your flight, so if you land early or late your driver adjusts and is waiting outside the terminal with your name on a sign. Reserve ahead and your ride up to Pedregal is one less thing to think about.
