What to Send Us Before You Fly
Vacation rentals don’t have a front desk or a bellman waiting, so the most useful thing you can do is give your driver everything needed to reach your exact door. When you book, send three things: the full rental address plus a map pin (villa names and street numbers can be unreliable in Los Cabos), your host’s phone or WhatsApp, and any gate or lockbox codes you’ve been given. With those in hand we pull straight up to the unit instead of leaving you to haul luggage the last few hundred meters.
Gated-Community Access, Handled
Many of Cabo’s best rentals sit inside gated or HOA communities — Pedregal above the marina, Quivira on the Pacific, Puerto Los Cabos in San José del Cabo. Security at these gates only waves a vehicle through when the guest name and villa are on the arrival list, and a shared shuttle will usually drop you at the gate rather than the door. Because we run private transfers, we can be pre-cleared to take you all the way in — just tell your host a private driver is coming and give us the community and unit details when you book.
Stock the Villa on the Way In
One of the real perks of renting is having your own kitchen, so use it. On a private transfer we’re glad to fold in a grocery or beer stop between the airport and your rental — a full Chedraui or Walmart run for a week of self-catering, or just coffee, water, and breakfast for the first morning. Because local transport rules ask for advance notice on custom routing, mention the stop when you book (ideally about 72 hours ahead) so we can build in the time.
Drive Times by Area
Where your rental sits decides the ride. From Los Cabos International Airport (SJD), figure roughly: San José del Cabo ~15 minutes; the Tourist Corridor 15–40 minutes depending on where along Highway 1; downtown Cabo San Lucas 40–50 minutes in real traffic; Pescadero about 1 hour 15; and Todos Santos about 1 hour 20. We track your flight, so an early or delayed landing doesn’t cost you your ride — your driver is there when you clear customs, whatever the actual arrival time.
