Shared Shuttles
Cost-Effective: Shared shuttles are an economical choice, ideal for solo travelers, couples, or small groups who don’t mind sharing the ride with other passengers. This option allows you to enjoy a comfortable transfer to the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos without breaking the bank.
Social Experience: Opting for a shared shuttle can also be a great way to meet other travelers. The communal nature of the journey offers a unique opportunity to exchange stories and tips about vacationing in Los Cabos.
Scheduled Departures: Shared shuttles have predetermined departure times, which means waiting at the airport may be necessary until the shuttle is ready to leave. This is a minor trade-off for the affordability and convenience the service offers.
Private Transfers
Exclusive and Personalized: Private transfers provide an exclusive and personalized transportation experience. You and your party will enjoy the comfort and privacy of your vehicle without sharing space with other travelers.
Direct and Efficient: With a private transfer, you’ll benefit from direct transportation to the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos without any additional stops along the way. This is the fastest and most efficient way to reach your destination, saving you time and allowing you to start your vacation sooner.
Flexible Scheduling: Unlike shared shuttles, private transfers can be scheduled according to your arrival time, ensuring that your vehicle is ready when you are. This flexibility is particularly advantageous for travelers with late arrivals or tight schedules.
Variety of Vehicle Options: SJD Taxi offers a range of vehicles for private transfers, from luxury sedans for couples or solo travelers to spacious SUVs and vans for families and larger groups. This ensures that your specific needs and preferences are met, regardless of the size of your party or the amount of luggage you have.
Is the beach swimmable at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos?
The beach in front of Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos is beautiful but not considered safe for swimming due to strong currents and unpredictable surf common along this stretch of the Sea of Cortez. Guests are welcome to enjoy the views, walk along the sand, or relax in the resort’s beachfront lounge areas. For those who want to swim in the ocean, several swimmable beaches—such as Palmilla Beach and Chileno Bay—are just a short drive away and perfect for swimming, snorkeling, or paddle boarding.
Food & Drinks at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos
Quick Rundown of Restaurants & Bars
El Molino (Mexican)
If you didn’t get enough Mexican food at lunch, this is the place to go. We enjoyed chips with guacamole and salsa, burritos, enchiladas, and churros. Everything was delicious, and we wished we had more nights to visit again.
Maria’s Tacos at Baja Bar
At the adults-only pool, the bar serves fresh tacos known as Maria’s Tacos during lunch. Maria herself was grilling the tacos, which were only available in beef. We loved them so much that we often went back for seconds. Don’t miss out on these tacos; they’re worth the walk to the Baja Bar.
Zaffiro (Italian)
This beachside restaurant offers a stunning location for dinner. We had wine, salads, penne pasta, lasagna, and dessert. The lasagna was a highlight of our trip. Make sure to visit, especially at sunset.
Cortez (Mexican/South American)
Located beachside, we had breakfast here twice. The views are amazing, and the menu offers a wide range of options. The smoothies were a great start to the day, and they serve classic breakfast dishes like eggs, pancakes, and French toast.
Bon Vivant (French)
An adults-only restaurant where we enjoyed bread, salad, drinks, steak, and dessert. There is a dress code, so you’ll need to change after a day at the pool.
La Plaza (Buffet)
The international buffet has a different theme each night, such as Mediterranean, Indian, BBQ, and Mexican. Breakfast was our favorite meal here, with a consistent selection. The buffet is a quick and easy dinner option, especially if you like the nightly theme.
Coco Loco (Snack Bar / Tacos)
During lunch, Coco Loco serves pizza, burgers, and fries. Skip the burgers, but the pizza and fries were good and came out quickly. In the evening, it becomes a taco shop with amazing flank steak tacos.
El Catrin Food Truck (Quesadillas)
Located poolside, this food truck offers lunchtime quesadillas with various meat options. Skip the steak and head to Maria’s Tacos if that’s what you want, but the chicken and shrimp quesadillas are solid choices.
Healthy Bar (Smoothies / Bowls)
In the center pool area, the Healthy Bar serves smoothies in the morning and poke bowls for lunch. We tried several smoothies and bowls, and they were all good. The menu board lists all options and ingredients.
Hacienda Baja Grill (Steakhouse)
While the burgers were disappointing, the salads were great. The steak was overcooked, making this the least impressive restaurant during our trip.
Coffee House (Drinks / Snacks)
Open 24/7 next to the lobby, the Coffee House offers specialty coffees, snacks, ice cream, donuts, and sandwiches. We went every morning for coffee, but the donuts were the highlight.
